Microblading removal – thorough, but without a trace.
Whether the shape never suited you, the colour has turned grey or reddish, or you simply want your natural brows back: with the PicoSure laser, microblading can now be removed reliably in Switzerland.
In short
Microblading can be completely removed with the PicoSure picosecond laser, without scars and without damage to the brow hairs. Usually 3 to 4 sessions 6 to 8 weeks apart are enough, at CHF 100 per session. Fresh microblading must first heal for 6 to 8 weeks.
Why microblading needs a different approach than a tattoo
In microblading, pigment is scratched into the upper dermis with fine blades. As a result the colour is distributed unevenly, often in tiny scar channels – and it frequently consists of iron oxides, which react differently to laser light than tattoo ink. That's exactly why I regularly see clients for whom a beauty salon with remover solution or an unsuitable laser has left behind only a lighter version of the problem.
The PicoSure works with pulses in the trillionth-of-a-second range. The pigment is broken up mechanically, not heated. For the sensitive area around the brows that is the decisive difference: the skin stays intact, the hair roots stay intact, and the body can clear the fragments via the lymphatic system.
Suitable for
Brows that are too dark or too wide, asymmetrical shapes, discoloured pigment (grey, red, orange, blue), botched or faded microblading, powder brows and ombré brows.
When you should wait
Freshly done microblading must heal completely first – allow at least six to eight weeks. We also postpone the appointment in case of sunburn, pregnancy or active skin inflammation in the area.
Also possible
Partial removal: if you only want a correction of the shape or want to make room for new, cleaner microblading, I laser just the parts that bother you.
What you can realistically expect
Session 1
First visible lightening after two to three weeks. Some shades briefly look darker or change tone – that is a normal intermediate step which I show you beforehand.
Sessions 2–3
Most of the pigment is gone. From here on many clients no longer need to cover anything and let their own brows grow back.
Session 4
Fine-tuning of any remnants. In rare cases, with very deeply placed pigment, a barely perceptible shimmer remains – but I'll tell you that at the initial consultation.
Powder brows, ombré brows and eyebrow PMU too
Not every brow was done with a blade. Powder brows, ombré brows and classic eyebrow permanent make-up are applied with a machine. The pigment sits more evenly and usually a little shallower in the skin, which is why these techniques are often gone in two to four sessions. When a remover or another laser wasn't enough
Many clients arrive with a history: acid or saline removers at a beauty salon, a nanosecond laser that only turned the colour greenish, or lightening creams with no effect. Remaining pigment can usually still be removed with the PicoSure. What I check first: whether scar tissue has formed, because no laser can undo that. Questions about the treatment
Can powder brows or ombré brows be removed too?
Yes. Powder brows, ombré brows and classic eyebrow permanent make-up are applied with a machine and usually sit more evenly in the skin than microblading. The PicoSure removes them just the same, often in two to four sessions.
My microblading has already been treated with remover solution. Can it still be lasered?
Usually yes. Remaining pigment can still be lasered. What the laser cannot remove is scar tissue, which acid or saline removers sometimes leave behind. That's why I examine the skin closely at the initial consultation and tell you what is realistic.
Can I have only part of the brow removed?
Yes. If only the arch sits too high, the head starts too far in or the brow is too wide, I laser just the parts that bother you. The rest stays untouched and you can have the shape redone later.
Why aren't creams and home remedies a solution for microblading?
Creams don't reach the dermis where the pigment sits. Saline and acid methods injure the skin over a wide area and often leave light patches or scars. The laser acts only on the pigment and leaves the surrounding tissue intact.
